Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings

BADT is a Black-owned, queer-run doula training organization whose mission is to be socially conscious, culturally appropriate, diverse, and action-oriented. We train our students to serve their clients using the best practices available while preparing them to be active partners in the movement to change birth and reproductive health culture locally, nationally and globally.

Doula Trainings International (DTI)

Doula Trainings International (DTI) is an educational body and professional community. We offer courses for birth workers which certifies doulas, childbirth educators and lactation specialists with basic and advanced trainings across the world. Beyond its courses, DTI is an international network of doulas committed to professional growth.

Evidence Based Birth

Evidence Based Birth is an online childbirth resource that informs, empowers and inspires expecting parents and birth-care practitioners globally, to understand the latest, proven, evidence based care practices.

lactmed

The LactMed® database contains information on drugs and other chemicals to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed. It includes information on the levels of such substances in breast milk and infant blood, and the possible adverse effects in the nursing infant. Suggested therapeutic alternatives to those drugs are provided, where appropriate. All data are derived from the scientific literature and fully referenced. A peer review panel reviews the data to assure scientific validity and currency.

Radical Doula

Radical Doula is a blog and resource that focuses on the connections between social justice and birth activism, founded and run by Miriam Zoila Pérez.

Spinning Babies® is a physiological approach to preparing for and caring for birth. During birth, babies descend through the pelvis by turning to fit each curve in the passage. Baby’s turns are ‘fetal rotation.’ If fetal rotation can be made easier, birth is easier for everyone. Spinning Babies® has become a paradigm, or a new view on childbirth. By understanding birth physiology better we can help birth be easier. Spinning Babies® is how we are Changing Birth on Earth.
